FIVE BASIC RULES OF HEALTHY EATING

1. Zero dairy product intake.  Cows milk is strongly associated with risk of heart attack, stroke, diabetes, cancer, ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease.  Large amounts of dead bacteria in milk or cheese can cause inflammation and autoimmunity.

2. Low sugar intake.  Bacterial and yeast overgrowth from even small excesses of sugar can create inflammation.  Limit sugar to one or two servings of fresh fruit a day.  No juice.  Apples are good for intestinal function, blueberry benefit the brain.

3. No coffee.  Linked to both atherosclerosis and arthritis, coffee can cause irritation of the intestines, skin conditions, joint pain.  Green or black tea ok.

4. Cooked vegetables instead of raw.  Raw food can be contaminated with bacteria, mold, etc. causing inflammatory reactions.  Steaming vegies for even 5 minutes makes them safer to eat, and more digestible.

5. Whole grains instead of flour products.  The high fiber content of whole grains sweeps the intestine clean, flour products are also linked to inflammatory bowel disease.
